On Wednesday afternoon around 5 p.m., NC State basketball will learn if it lands four-star, top-100 center Shawn Phillips from Dream City Christian in Glendale, Ariz. The Wolfpacker posted an update on Phillips and other basketball recruiting targets for subscribers on the premium State of Basketball message board.

Let's get to the daily newsstand.

NC State will hear today from Phillips, and it also continues its pursuit of four-star guard Daniel Skillings from Philadelphia (Pa.) Roman Catholic and three-star forward De'Ante Green from Asheville (N.C.) Christian.

In football news, add four-star linebacker commit Torren Wright from Kannapolis (N.C.) A.L. Brown to the list of recruits coming to NC State's game Saturday against Clemson.

Meanwhile, redshirt sophomore linebacker Payton Wilson is on the path to recovery.
