On Sunday evening, the Wolfpack gained a verbal commitment from receiver Terrell Timmons of Greensboro (N.C.) Northern Guilford High, a day after routing Furman 45-7 at home.

NC State hopes for similar success stories next weekend when it hosts top-10 Clemson for its ACC opener.

There should be quite a few notable visitors Saturday for the Clemson game, with in-state class of 2023 offensive tackle Sullivan Absher from Belmont (N.C.) South Point High already announcing he will be at the game. Absher was offered by NC State over the summer.
