NC State's showdown with No. 9 Clemson will be the center of Wolfpack nation's attention this weekend. Game day is rapidly approaching, with the Tigers remaining about a 10-point favorite.

But before the game, take a stroll down memory lane with a former NC State head coach.

In 24 hours it will be gameday for NC State against No. 9 Clemson.

It has been a busy week in basketball recruiting, notably the commitment of four-star center Shawn Phillips Jr. from Dream City Christian in Glendale, Ariz.. NC State now knows a few more important dates.

Meanwhile, top target and three-star forward De'Ante Green from Asheville (N.C.) Christian, will be visiting Florida State this weekend. Class of 2023 offered forward Mehki Grant from Charlotte's Combine Academy will be at NC State for an unofficial visit.

Winston-Salem (N.C.) Christian big man Christ Essandoko will announce his decision next week. NC State is a finalist.

NC State's #Pack9 recruiting class of 2021 continues to be well-received, this time recognition for the three transfers that were added.

And finally in Pack Pros, former NC State head coach Monte Kiffin was recently honored, while former Pack safety Juston Burris was one of several Carolina Panthers players to go down with injuries in a Thursday night win over the Houston Texans.
