Despite the extended dead period in college football that will last through at least the end of May, there is not a shortage of activity in NC State’s efforts on the trail.

This week in particular was a busy one for Wolfpack football recruiting. Here we touch up on the latest developments on the offensive side of the football.

Caleb McDowell's commitment

The biggest news of the week was three-star running back Caleb McDowell from Leesbburg (Ga.) Lee County High announcing his verbal commitment to the Wolfpack. McDowell was an all-state performer on defense as a junior by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and named his region’s “athlete of the year” by the area’s coaches.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound McDowell picked NC State over Power Five offers from Colorado, Indiana, Purdue and Syracuse. To read more about McDowell’s pledge, click on the following links.
