NC State freshman tight end Javonte Vereen showed flashes of why he was touted coming out of Havelock (N.C.) High on Saturday.
Vereen caught four passes for 65 yards and a long of 22 yards in a 45-24 loss against Notre Dame at Carter-Finley Stadium.
