Linebacker Bryce Steele committed to South Carolina back in April of this year, choosing the Gamecocks over North Carolina and Texas, but now the Alexandria (Va.) Episcopal standout has opened his recruitment up again. This follows the dismissal of Will Muschamp as head coach of South Carolina, something that has made Steele very uncertain about where his future college career could take place.

Steele, who missed his junior season due to injury and now his senior season due to the pandemic, is still a very intriguing prospect that a few teams around the country are interested in. A covered safety, Steele brings a lot of athleticism to the linebacker corps and does a good job covering in space.

Rodarius Thomas and Simeon Price were the first two player to decommit from South Carolina following Muschamp’s dismissal. Steele now makes it three.
