It's been a busy couple of days for NC State's roster, with the latest announcement coming from freshman forward Nick Farrar that he would be entering the transfer portal.

Farrar is the second NC State player to have gone into the portal. "Super senior" Braxton Beverly did not last long, as he chose to transfer to Eastern Kentucky.

The Wolfpack has also made one addition from the portal, landing former Providence forward and four-star Rivals100 recruit Greg Gantt, who revealed his decision hours before Farrar's announcement.

The 6-foot-6, 260-pound Farrar struggled to get on the court this past year, playing in seven games and scoring a total of five points in 23 minutes of action. All of his scoring came in a home win over Campbell on Dec. 19.

The Apex (N.C.) Friendship product picked the Wolfpack over offers from Texas A&M, LSU, Houston, Cincinnati, Seton Hall, Western Kentucky, VCU and Rutgers, among others, in the summer of 2019.

His announcement frees up a scholarship for the Wolfpack to use, with any additions most likely coming from the active transfer portal.
