Video: Mark Gottfried media day part II

NC State coach Mark Gottfried freely admits that the last year's finish helped make the season look better than it was.

Gottfried also knows the chemistry from last year's Sweet 16 squad will be different with wing C.J. Williams, center/power forward DeShawn Painter, and point guard Alex Johnson moving on. Painter transferred to Old Dominion, and small forward Tyler Harris (Providence) and shooting guard Jaqawn Raymond (Middle Tennessee State) also left following their freshmen years.

The Wolfpack will need redshirt junior center Jordan Vandenberg and sophomore power forward Thomas De Thaey to provide depth in the frontcourt, especially if senior center Richard Howell or junior power forward C.J. Leslie run into foul trouble.
