Kansas coach Bill Self made his 2022-23 coaching debut Wednesday, returning from suspension.
Self and the No. 3-ranked Jayhawks pulled away late to defeat NC State in the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas. Self was full of praise for NC State senior point guard Jarkel Joiner, sophomore shooting guard Terquavion Smith and redshirt junior wing Casey Morsell.
