Update on all-stater OL Zack Bevilacqua

OL Zack Bevilacqua(6-4, 315 pounds, 5.3 in the 40) from Butler HS in Charlotte, NC is a prospect that many Pack fans have become familiar with over the summer. For those unfamiliar, he's one of the state's top offensive line prospects. Last season he had 42 pancake blocks en route to being named all-conference and all-area. He's had an incredible streak of 25 games without allowing a sack.
Headed into his senior season he has been named preseason all-state by North Carolina Prep Football News while recruiting analyst Max Emfinger has listed him an all-american. SuperPrep magazine considers him the No. 6 OL and No. 32 prospect overall in NC.
The Wolfpacker recently caught up with Bevilacqua after his first game of the season and he told us that he's picked up right where he left off as a junior. "I was happy with my performance Friday after I watched the film" Bevilacqua said. "I graded out at 89% and our head coach said it was the highest he has ever graded an OL. I had 5 pancake blocks and gave up 0 sacks so I have kept the streak alive now at 26 games with no sacks allowed."
With an offer in tow from ECU, Bevilacqua feels there's only a matter of time before other offers begin to roll in. "Most every school that is recruiting me has said it(a scholarship offer) is based on my first few games. "
At the current time the all-state product had this to say about his current favorites. "I still don't have an exact top five, but I would have to say NC State is my #1 choice, with Clemson, USC, Auburn, Virginia, Va. Tech, and ECU in a close race for second."
If his first performance of the season is any indication then there's a great chance that many of those schools will be offering up scholarships in the near future.
