NC State continued its strong summer in recruiting by landing a verbal commitment from three-star offensive tackle Jalynn Strickland from Waycross (Ga.) Ware County High announced his verbal commitment to the Wolfpack.

Strickland made a visit to NC State the weekend of June 24. Prior to that point, Arkansas has been considered the leader for the 6-foot-5, 305-pounder. He also had Power Five conference offers from Maryland and Minnesota. Appalachian State, Central Michigan, Memphis, Navy, Southern Miss, South Florida, Troy and UCF were among his other offers.

Strickland gives NC State 15 verbal commitments in the 2018 class and its third offensive linemen. The Pack is nearly done with recruiting on the offensive side of the ball, although it is continuing its pursuit of four-star guard Jovaughn Gwyn from Charlotte’s Harding High.

The Wolfpacker will have more from Strickland later.
