The Wolfpackers Shrine Bowl Highlights

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Wolfpacker was at Wofford's Gibbs Stadium to watch North Carolina pull off a 26-19, come-from-behind win over South Carolina in the 75th annual Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas.
A trio of NC State commits played in the game and another target was a prime performer.

Quarterback James Summers got the starting nod under center for North Carolina and finished 2-of-5 passing for 17 yards and also rushed for 12 yards. He also played some wide receiver when the team utilized a wildcat formation and made some nice blocks.
Fellow NC State commits K'Hadree Hooker, a defensive tackle, and Majid Salahuddin, a linebacker, also got starting nods for North Carolina. Salahuddin tallied six tackles, including one for loss, which stood as the second-most tackles on the squad. Hooker unofficially was in on three stops.
The biggest star of the day, however, was NC State target Todd Gurley, a speedy running back from Tarboro (N.C.), who was named the offensive MVP for his state.
Gurley had a 94-yard touchdown run called back in the first half and finished with 19 carries for 119 yards and two scores. He said after the game that his four finalists - Clemson, Georgia, NC State and North Carolina - are all even. He will announce in January.
