Cornerback Terrente Hinton didn’t have to look far for inspiration growing up.

Hinton verbally committed to NC State on Sunday during his official visit to Raleigh. The Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College product redshirt his freshman year due to tendinitis in his knee, and then helped his finish runner-up in the junior college playoffs. He’ll have three of eligibility remaining at NC State.
