Sophomore Drake Powell is excited about NC State offer
Drake Powell’s recruiting trajectory changed in one night.
The 6-foot-6, 175-pound Powell had gotten interest from North Carolina, Appalachian State and North Carolina-Greensboro, but didn’t have any offers. He opened his sophomore season for Pittsboro (N.C.) Northwood High at the brand new school in town last Tuesday — Pittsboro Seaforth High — and he had a special visitor.
