QA: Quarterback Mike Glennon ready for Belk Bowl

NC State redshirt junior quarterback Mike Glennon threw for 28 touchdowns this season, which is the second most in the ACC going into the bowl season, and third most in Wolfpack history.
Glennon already ranks seventh in NCSU history with 29 career touchdowns, and is poised for a big final season next year after going through the ups and downs of a first-year starter.

Glennon goes into the Belk Bowl vs. Louisville on Dec. 27 with 2,790 passing yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He went 262-of-420 passing and carries a 134.94 passing efficiency.
The 6-foot-6, 232-pounder from Centreville, Va., had arguably his best two games to end the year in wins over Clemson and Maryland to lift the Wolfpack into the Belk Bowl. He combined for eight touchdowns passing and one rushing, and passed for 559 yards in the two victories.
Glennon, who graduated last May, recently talked with The Wolfpacker about his junior year, academic future and playing Louisville in the Belk Bowl:
What was the difference for you in the last two games of the regular season?
"We were able to step up in situations and make big plays. Those last two games, I got a lot of help from guys, but there was a lot of big plays being made."
Were you making better decisions and getting rid of the ball quicker against Clemson and Maryland?
"I think that probably could be it, but things were clicking better. The whole offense was just working better in those games. The run game was better in those games, and the passing was better."
How helpful will it be that you'll be established going into next year?
"It's going to be my senior year, and all the guys that I came in with. We'll be a senior-heavy team next year. It's going to be a great opportunity for us."
What are you pursuing academically after graduating last May?
"I just got accepted into the master's program for liberal studies, and I took graduate courses this past semester. I'll possibly be able to finish by the end of next fall."
Do you feel NC State is playing its best football going into the Belk Bowl game?
"I think so. The defensive side of the ball, they've played great the past few games. Offensively, we've stepped up in the Clemson game and the second half of the Maryland game. I think we are playing really good football. It should be a good way going into the bowl game."
How often have you watched the Maryland game this month?
"I've watched it on film probably twice. I have the DVD, but I haven't watched it. I'm starting to watch [past games] now, but once the season is over in January, I'll go through everything again."
