In some cases from the 2016 signing class, it has been over a year since they first arrived at NC State. In most, this though is their first spring after a season of college football under their belt. One exception to both is offensive lineman Kollin Byers, who greyshirted and arrived for the spring semester.

Four players (quarterback Matthew McKay, receiver Antoine Thompson, tight end Damien Darden and defensive end Xavier Lyas) enrolled early to become the first representatives of the 2017 class on campus.
