NCSU players thrilled to play bowl game

When the North Carolina State players lost a heart-breaker in the final seconds against Maryland, the season could have easily unraveled.
Instead, the team leaders called a team meeting and rallied everyone to stay on board and keep fighting, despite the 2-6 record.
The Wolfpack ripped off four-straight wins to close out the season 6-6, and earned a trip to play Rutgers on Dec. 29 in Birmingham, Ala., in the Papajohns.com Bowl.
Senior cornerback Jeremy Gray, senior running back Andre Brown, redshirt freshman quarterback Russell Wilson and redshirt sophomore outside linebacker Nate Irving addressed the media Wednesday to help promote the bowl game.
