Tight ends

The need: NC State uses two tight ends: an "X-tight end" and an "H-tight end." In simplest terms, the X-tight end is more utilized in a blocking/fullback role while the H-tight end bears more receiving responsibilities. NC State appears to be in the marker for one of the latter.
