NC State is in

NC State learned its NCAA fate Sunday afternoon. After a nervous day of waiting made only shorter by daylight savings, the Pack received the word that they were in, waiting literally until the final team was announced. NC State is the 11 seed in the East region and faces six seed San Diego State in round one.
The Pack's fate was likely sealed by an impressive late-season run that included a home win over fellow bubble team Miami at home and victory over tournament-bound Virginia in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament.

State's four-game winning streak was snapped in the semifinals by No. 4 UNC but not after a hard-fought, heavily contested two-point loss.
State will play in Columbus, Ohio, Friday at a time to be announced. The winner of the San Diego State/NC State game plays the winner of Georgetown/Belmont in the third round.
