GASTONIA — NC State senior tackle commit Trent Mitchell is looking forward to graduating early and enrolling for the spring semester.

Mitchell has been playing left tackle and learning to be a leader on a young Gastonia (N.C.) Ashbrook squad. The Greenwave lost 24-3 to undefeated Kings Mountain (N.C.) High, falling to 3-6 overall. The fact that it was 10-3 in the third quarter was considered a small moral victory.
