Lowe confident about ACC Tourney run

NC State basketball coach Sidney Lowe knows that his team just has to be better than their ACC Tourney opponent on that day.

Lowe wants his young basketball team to take a one game at a time approach, and be confident that they can win on that day. He knows some teams the Wolfpack would lose to in a series, but in a single elimination format, anything can happen. NC State plays Clemson at 9 p.m. Thursday at the Greensboro (N.C.) Coliseum.

Lowe and Boston College coach Al Skinner addressed the media Sunday following the Wolfpack's 66-54 victory at the RBC Center.

Lowe talked about the progress of redshirt sophomore wing Johnny Thomas and sophomore shooting guard C.J. Williams, the lack of turnovers in the second half and how his seniors - Dennis Horner and Farnold Degand - handled the emotions of playing their last regular season home game.
