Southern Durham (N.C.) High sophomore athlete Lance Henderson was excited when home area NC State offered him Jan. 25.

Henderson has emerged as a playmaker on both sides of the ball on the prep level, playing wide receiver and safety. The Wolfpack might target him as a safety or nickel due to position coach Charlton Warren offering him, but that has two years to get sorted out.
