Recruitment:

• Decommitted in September after unofficially visiting East Carolina for their win over NC State.
• Was only open for two weeks before re-committing to NC State and stayed firm despite a late offer from Nebraska.
Recruiter of record:
Tight ends/fullbacks coach and special teams coordinator Eddie Faulkner.
Quotable:
“Emeka is a big target down the field and over the middle. He could use a little bit better top-end speed, but he does a really good job getting off the line and down the field in a hurry. He does a pretty good job, also, coming out of his breaks. That’s how he creates a lot of his separation.” — Rivals.com recruiting analyst Adam Friedman.
Scouting report:
• Good-sized receiver with strong hands that should make him a strong red zone threat.
• Top-end speed may not be great and could project more as a possession receiver in college.
• Has been one of the most prolific receivers in the state over the past three years.
2017 projection:
Like most of the team, there is a lot of productivity from the 2016 squad expected back in 2017, but Emezie is a sleeper to find early playing time. He has natural receiving skills and size-wise should be ready to handle the physicality of college defensive backs.
