Gainesville (Fla.) Newberry senior defensive end Mykah Newton hadn’t been to NC State before, but came away impressed.

Newton officially visited NC State from Friday-until-Sunday, and got quality face time with defensive line coach Charley Wiles and coach Dave Doeren. Newton is in the midst of crunch time, in that he already had seen Michigan State, and has one more official visit left before making a college decision.
