Hakeem Flowers picks NC State

NC State picked up its second verbal commitment Sunday and the 17th of its 2011 recruiting class when three-star receiver Hakeem Flowers from Wade Hampton High in Greenville, S.C., picked the Pack during a press conference at his school Sunday night.
Flowers had narrowed his choices to LSU, Michigan, Oregon and NC State. He visited Michigan Oct. 15 and NC State Jan. 14. Rivals.com rate Flowers as the No. 87 wide out in the country and No. 24 prospect in the state of South Carolina.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Flowers runs the 40-yard dash in 4.55 seconds and the shuttle in 4.45 seconds, and he has a 33.5-inch vertical leap. He caught over 50 passes for over 1,000 yards to go with nine touchdowns as a senior.
NCSU tight ends coach Jim Bridge, who recruits the state of South Carolina for NC State, was Flowers' recruiter of record. The Wolfpacker will have much more from Flowers' decision.
