NC State had a pair of players honored by the ACC Tuesday morning. Junior defensive tackle Brian Slay was picked as the league's Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week with Maryland junior Joe Vellano, and Pack senior receiver T.J. Graham was honored as the ACC's Specialist of the Week.
Slay, starting in the place of injured fifth-year senior J.R. Sweezy, was credited with six tackles, including a pair of sacks that resulted in losses of seven yards. Slay also had two quarterback hurries, forced a fumble and recovered two, one of which he returned 52 yards for a touchdown.
Graham had his fourth career kick return for a score, running a punt back 82 yards for a touchdown. It was Graham's second career punt return for a score, and the 82 yards was the 11th longest runback in school history. Graham also had a 44-yard kickoff return to the Liberty 33 that set up fifth-year senior running back Curtis Underwood, Jr.'s 33-yard touchdown run.
