Pop pass to Thayer Thomas for the 8-yard touchdown and NC State leads 38-10 with 2:15 left in the third quarter. The touchdown gave the Thomas family two scores on the day.
Syracuse snaps scoring drought (6:15 p.m.)
Syracuse kicker Andre Szmyt makes a 45-yard field goal to cut the Wolfpack lead to 31-10 with 6:41 left in the third quarter.
NCSU tacks on field goal (6:04 p.m.)
Christopher Dunn makes the 37-yard field goal to give NC State a 31-7 lead with 10:46 left in the third quarter.

Devin Leary creates magic (5:32 p.m.)
Devin Leary shakes off a potential sack and then heaves it to the back of the end zone to Christopher Toudle for a 14-yard touchdown. NC State leads Syracuse 28-7 with eight seconds left in the first half. Leary set the up the touchdown with a 58-yard toss to wide receiver Devin Carter to the 19-yard line with 29 seconds left.
Zonovan Knight has fireworks (5:18 p.m.)
For the second straight game, NCSU running back Zonovan Knight scores on a kickoff return, this time from 97 yards out. NC State leads Syracuse 21-7 with 3:01 left in the second quarter.
Syracuse gets on the board (5:15 p.m.)
Sean Tucker gets a nice block from quarterback Garrett Shrader and takes off for a 55-yard touchdown run. NC State leads Syracuse 14-7 with 3:16 left in the second quarter.
Drake Thomas with pick-six (5:12 p.m.)
NC State linebacker Drake Thomas showing off his old high school fullback moves with a pick-six to give NC State a 14-0 lead with 5:25 left in the second quarter. Thomas also has two sacks.
NC State strikes first (5:04 p.m)
NC State quarterback Devin Leary airs it out to wide receiver Thayer Thomas for 49 yards to the SU 15-yard line. NCSU running back Ricky Person followed up on the next play by bouncing it out to the left side for a 15-yard touchdown run. NC State leads Syracuse 7-0 with 6:14 left in the second quarter.
