Duke had a pair of big plays and it was all its defense needed in defeating NC State 24-3 on Saturday.

The Blue Devils played without two cogs, including star junior quarterback Riley Leonard. The Wolfpack fell to 4-3 overall, while Duke improved to 5-1.

Duke running back Jordan Waters takes advantage of a major NC State defensive breakdown for a 83-yard touchdown run. The third long touchdown run the defense has given up this season. The Blue Devils lead 24-3 with 8:47 left in the third quarter.

Duke quarterback Henry Belin finds tight end Jeremiah Hasley for the 8-yard touchdown and Duke leads NC State 17-3 with 11:36 left in the second quarter.

Todd Pelino makes a career-long 52-yard field to give Duke a 10-3 lead over NC State with 12:45 left in the second quarter.

Duke wide receiver Jalon Calhoun beats NC State sophomore cornerback Terrente Hinton on a double move for a 69-yard touchdown. The Blue Devils lead 7-3 with 6:26 left in the first quarter.

NC State senior kicker Brayden Narveson made a 57-yard field goal to give the Wolfpack a 3-0 lead with 13:04 left in the first quarter. The points came due to redshirt junior cornerback Shyheim Battle interception and return to the Duke 38.
