The buzz about Greensboro (N.C.) Grimsley freshman two-sport star Faizon Brandon has been building incrementally.

It started when East Carolina offered him at quarterback June 25, before he even started his ninth grade year. It took another step when he scored a team-high 25 points to lead Grimsley past Greensboro Smith 70-67 in the Tourney Town Summer League Championship on July 2.
