Earl Wolff named ACC defensive back of the week
NC State fifth-year senior safety
Earl Wolff was named the ACC Defensive Back of the Week for his performance in the Pack's 10-7 win over Connecticut.
Wolff tallied seven tackles, including five solo stops, and notched an interception in the road victory, despite playing just three quarters due to an injury.
The safety's fifth career interception was a big one, and he returned it 16 yards. He also recovered a fumble in the third quarter, that helped set up NC State's only touchdown of the game.
On the year, the Raeford, N.C., native has totaled a team-best 14.5 tackles, including two for loss, an interception and a fumble recovery.
