Deshaywn Middleton pulls the trigger

Three-star defensive tackle Deshaywn Middleton of Winston-Salem (N.C.) Parkland High committed to NC State Monday. The No. 23 player in North Carolina and the nation's No. 39 defensive tackle picked the Wolfpack over offers from Duke, East Carolina and Wake Forest among others.
He had narrowed his choices to NCSU and ECU, but NC State was the longtime leader for Middletown. He confirmed the news of his commitment via an instagram.

The big man marks the 22nd commitment for the NCSU class of 2014, and he is the 14th in-state prospect to pledge to the Pack.
Middleton was one of the standout defenders at the Rivals Camp Series Presented by Under Armour in Charlotte this April. He was named the No. 6 defender at the event and was also ranked as the No. 33 defensive lineman that participated in the series, which featured 15 regional camps across the country.
The Wolfpacker will have more on Middleton's commitment.
