NC State released its depth chart for the Tennessee game on Monday morning, and it looked pretty much as expected.
The biggest surprises were that redshirt sophomore
Tony Creecy was elevated above returning starter
James Washington, a senior, while redshirt sophomore
Mustafa Greene checked in third on the listing.
The other change from the preseason organizational chart was that true sophomore
Brandon Pittman passed classmate
Rodman Noel for the starting strongside linebacker slot.
Three true freshmen made the two-deep - wide receiver
Charlie Hegedus, who was listed on the third-string, and
Quincy McKinney, who was listed as the No. 2 left tackle. As coach
Tom O'Brien announced earlier in the preseason, rookie
Manny Stocker will back up starting quarterback
Mike Glennon.
