Audio: Mark Gottfried talks Miami, Williams injury

NC State head coach Mark Gottfried met with the media on Friday morning before his team departs for their game against Miami.
Gottfried went in-depth on the win over Boston College after he was able to watch the tape from last night's contest and also previewed Miami. In addition, he talked about the injury to C.J. Williams, who Gottfried said will take today off then the doctors will re-examine the senior tomorrow. The good news was that the coach said the doctors didn't feel an MRI was needed.

"I'm hoping that he'll be able to play, but I would say right now it's doubtful," the coach said. "Doubtful but hopeful. We'll see here. It's such a quick turnaround.
"It's kind of a, 'Let's watch for 24 hours, see how it responds.' We'll not do anything with him today, hold him out completely of practice. I don't even want him to shoot a foul shot. Just let his shoulder rest and then we'll see tomorrow before we get on a plane."
If Williams is not able to play on Sunday, Gottfried mentioned reserve guard Alex Johnson as someone whose minutes would increase, as well as true freshman Tyler Harris.
