Three-star 2022 defensive end Nick Campbell announced his commitment to NC State Sunday.

Campbell, a 6-3, 270-pounder from Lake Minneola (Fla.) High School, is ranked 86th among prospects from the state of Florida in the 2022 class according to Rivals.

He had notable offers from NC State, Nebraska, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Auburn, Georgia Tech and Missouri, among several others.

In two seasons with the varsity team at Lake Minneola, Campbell produced 111 tackles, 34.0 for loss, 15.0 sacks and four fumble recoveries, including one in which he returned it for a touchdown.

Campbell made his official visit to NC State over the weekend. The visit went so well, he committed on the spot and announced his decision via his mom's Twitter account once he got back home Sunday evening.
