For two years, Andrew Brackman was a star on the hardwood in the winter and then the baseball diamond in the spring. Ultimately, he gave up hoops to focus on his pitching career, where the 6-foot-9 Brackman became a first-round draft choice of the New York Yankees.
With his playing days over, Brackman stopped by The Wolfpacker's podcast at Amedeo's Tuesday to reflect back on his playing days. Among the topics discussed:
• His fondest memories in baseball and basketball at NC State.
• The difference between basketball coach Herb Sendek and baseball coach Elliott Avent.
• The funniest moment he can recall regarding Avent.
• How he keeps busy these days and why he chose to stick around Raleigh.
And much more.
