NC State was one of the first colleges to jump in and pursue 23-year-old quarterback Cord Sandberg, when he decided to give up pursuing his minor league baseball career.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Sandberg visited NC State on Wednesday and Thursday with his fiance, Haley Gray. They are driving Thursday afternoon to Auburn, and then be on the road for LSU on Saturday evening. The two will leave Monday morning to return to Bradenton, Fla., to contemplate the future.
“On that road trip back to Florida, I’ll be talking to my fiance and hopefully make a decision sometime early next week,” Sandberg said. “I want to enroll and be on campus by Aug. 5.”
