NC State nickels coach Freddie Aughtry-Lindsay heard from numerous friends and former Wolfpack teammates in recent days.

NC State coach Dave Doeren announced this past Sunday that Aughtry-Lindsay would be the interim defensive coordinator for the East Carolina game Dec. 28 in the Military Bowl.

Aughtry-Lindsay wants the defense to play fast, confident and be dominant against the Pirates.
