Wolfpack flips ECU commitment

NC State was seeking another offensive tackle in the 2016 class, and they got it when long-time East Carolina commitment Justin Chase from Chesapeake (Va.) Great Bridge High switched his pledge to the Pack.

He confirmed his switch via text message with The Wolfpacker Tuesday morning after recruit757.com originally reported the news on Twitter.
Chase, who checks in at 6-6 and 290 pounds, played both ways at Great Bridge but will be playing on the offensive line for the Wolfpack. He originally committed to East Carolina on June 6 despite an offer from NCSU late in the spring because of ECU's lengthy pursuit. Temple was also among his finalists.
He was named first-team all-conference as a senior.
The Wolfpacker will have more on Chase later.
