Video: NC State tinkering with player rotations

NC State coach Kevin Keatts said he learned two important aspects after the narrow loss to Tennessee last Saturday.

Keatts explained a few things after the Wolfpack's 82-70 win over Saint Louis on Wednesday in front of a listed crowd of 12,555 at PNC Arena. Keatts felt he had to take a step back in the minutes for junior guard Kam Woods, who was able to play after a pair of court rulings that affected two-time transfers, plus sophomore forward M.J. Rice, who rejoined the team.

Woods played 4:28 against Saint Louis, and Rice was limited to 1:58. Keatts wants the duo to have a better understanding of what is needed to do on the court.

NC State junior post player Mohamed Diarra and sophomore point guard L.J. Thomas also played less than four minutes Wednesday, with the Wolfpack figuring out an altered rotation.

Keatts other revelation after the 79-70 loss to Tennessee in San Antonio, Texas, is what is the NET looking for. He joked that he did not expect to see the Wolfpack tumble from No. 55 to No. 67.
