NC State redshirt junior Quintin Payton was added to the Watch List for the Biletnikoff Award, which is annually given to the nation's most outstanding receiver.

Payton, who is coached by first year assistant Troy Walters, the winner of the 1999 Biletnikoff Award, has started every game this year, and scored his first touchdown in the win over South Alabama. He gained more yards in the season opener, when he hauled in four passes for 129 yards, than all of last year, and his yardage were the most for a Wolfpack receiver since Owen Spencer gained 138 against Wake Forest on Nov. 13, 2010. Payton also reached the century mark through the air against The Citadel, when he hauled in five passes for 100 yards.
The Biletnikoff Award will announced its 10 semifinalists on Nov. 12, 2012, and the three finalists will be announced a week later. The winner of the prestigious trophy will be announced on Dec. 6, 20102, at the Home Depot College Football Awards Show, which airs live on ESPN from 7:30-9:30 p.m.
