Pack picked to finish third in Atlantic

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The ACC announced Monday that Virginia Tech has been selected by the ACC media as the preseason pick to win the conference championship. Virginia Tech was picked to be the ACC Championship Game winner on 69 ballots. Florida State, the preseason choice to win the Atlantic Division, was named on seven ballots along with Georgia Tech. Two voters picked Clemson and NC State.
Georgia Tech running back Jonathan Dwyer was picked to repeat as ACC Player of the Year in a close vote over Clemson running back C.J. Spiller. NC State quarterback Russell Wilson was third in the voting.
