NCSU gets Florida defensive end's commitment

Three-star defensive end Deslin Alexandre verbally committed to NCSU Monday night.

According to the Deerfield Beach (Fla.) High's official football twitter account, three-star defensive end Deslin Alexandre, a 6-foot-5, 235-pounder that is new to football, verbally committed to NC State on Monday evening.

Alexandre played basketball until last year, when he played his first season at football. He flashed enough potential to pick up offers from Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse, Central Florida, Cincinnati, Fresno State and Temple among numerous others.

He was part of a group of prospects that visited NC State in June.
