Recruiter of record:

Tight ends/fullbacks coach and special teams coordinator Eddie Faulkner

Quotable:

"He has a great chance of living up to his potential at NC State … Over this past year he’s made a lot of progress, getting much more athletic, much faster, and is able to really show off his skillset at Mallard Creek. He was able to make a lot of catches in the flats towards the sideline; he turned upfield, he was able to make a lot of defenders miss in the open field using a variety of moves really showing off his athleticism. One of the big things he gets from his dad is his ability to high-catch the ball and away from his body. ” — Rivals.com analyst Adam Friedman

Scouting report:

Good-sized tight end with long arms.

Plays with an edge on the field and shows off impressive hands, especially in the red zone on fade routes and jump balls.

May have potential to be a defensive lineman, too.

2016 projection:

Due to the shortage of tight ends, Moss may be one of the surer bets to play as a true freshman. He has the requisite size to play quickly, and he played at a high school that has developed a reputation for producing good college football players, including NC State rising junior All-ACC fullback/tight end Jaylen Samuels.
