On Wednesday afternoon, not long after head coach Dave Doeren had concluded his signing day press conference, the Pack added one more to its 2017 recruiting class: junior college defensive lineman Larrell Murchison from Louisburg (N.C.) College. He confirmed the decision to The Wolfpacker.

Murchison had taken visits to Georgia, Ole Miss and Texas in the month of January. The 6-foot-4, 280-pounder is from Elizabethtown, N.C., and played high school football at East Bladen High.

He made 18 tackles and six sacks for 9-0 Louisburg this fall and was profiled earlier this week by Joe Giglio in the Raleigh News and Observer.

He gives NC State 20 scholarship players in the 2017 class. He will have two seasons of eligibility at NCSU. The Wolfpacker hopes to have more on this developing story.
