NC State’s successful recruiting weekend continued Sunday afternoon with news that two-star defensive end Kevince Brown from Winter Park (Fla.) High had joined three-star offensive lineman Josh Fedd-Jackson and three-star linebacker Louis Acceus, both from St. Joseph Regional in Montvale, N.J., in verbally committing to NC State.

The 6-foot-5, 240-pound Brown had been scheduled to officially visit Pittsburgh this weekend, but has now canceled the trip. He had reported offers from Kentucky, Oregon State, Syracuse, Central Florida and Rutgers, among others. He confirmed his pledge to The Wolfpacker via text message.

Brown enjoyed a good senior season rushing the quarterback. He piled up 11.5 sacks among his 54 tackles for Winter Park High, which finished 9-4. He also had 19 quarterback hurries, a forced fumble, two pass breakups and a pick six (76 yards). Brown is a two-time all-conference selection.

The trio of Sunday pledges brings NC State’s 2017 class to 18 players. Defensive coordinator and linebacker coach Dave Huxtable was the lead recruiter for Brown.
