Recruiter of record:
• Safeties coach and co-special teams coordinator Clayton White
Quotable:
"He looks like a power back, but at the same time if he breaks the line of scrimmage, you're in trouble. It's tough to tackle him and tough to catch him. Even if you catch him, you may not get him on the ground. That's the issue we kind of had with him. That's what makes him the player that he is."- Eastern Guilford head coach Doug Robertson
Scouting report:
• Noted power runner who has a knack for falling forward when being tackled.
• Has natural vision and instinct for a running back.
• Good downhill speed to break off long runs, but not noted for exceptional lateral quickness.
2015 projection:
NC State likes to rotate three running backs. Senior Shadrach Thornton and junior Matt Dayes are locks to get the bulk of the carries next season, provided they are healthy, but Gallaspy will have the opportunity to get on the field as the third tailback next fall.
