Stats: Helped Gray's Creek go 8-4 and average 443.9 yards rushing per game as a senior.

Recruitment: Roane came to NC State's camp in June with offers from smaller colleges North Carolina A&T and Old Dominion. After showcasing his athleticism and overall potential, NC State decided to offer Roane at the end of the day of camp on June 25, and Roane immediately accepted.
Recruiter of record: Former offensive line coach Jim Bridge.
2013 projection: Roane has the size, frame and athleticism to quickly impress, but he will need to get physically stronger if he wants to have a chance to play right away. He's more likely to redshirt next season.
