KHadree Hooker commits

Deep Run (N.C.) South Lenoir defensive tackle K'Hadree Hooker has been one of the top prospects on NC State's recruiting board for a long time. The 6-foot-2, 280-pounder made his verbal commitment on Friday night, choosing to run with the Pack over Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech, his other finalists.
Hooker made the announcement during a ceremony at his school.
Rivals.com ranks Hooker as a three-star prospect, the No. 15 player in his home state and the No. 35 defensive tackle in the land. Hooker checked in at No. 8 on The Wolfpacker's ranking of the top 50 players in the state.
The standout two-way player was named the Kinston Free Press Defensive Player of the Year as a junior after tallying 79 tackles, seven sacks, seven forced fumbles, five recovered fumbles, five blocked kicks and 15 quarterback hurries. He was also named all-conference for his efforts and started on the offensive line.
In addition to his three finalists, Hooker also touted scholarship offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Duke, East Carolina, Louisville, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina and Vanderbilt.
The Wolfpacker was on hand for Hooker's announcement and will have much more on the developing story throughout Saturday.
