NC State has prioritized junior Ondre Evans for years.

Evans and his guardian were able to unofficially visit NC State and Duke last week, and it was the third time he’s been to NCSU since last June. He camped with the Wolfpack in June and then attended the Florida State at NC State game Oct. 8.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound speedster from Nashville (Tenn.) Christ Presbyterian Academy is getting recruited at wide receiver by some colleges, but NC State wants him at cornerback. NCSU cornerbacks coach Brian Mitchell has formed a strong bond with him.
