DURHAM, N.C. - The North Carolina Central gym was abuzz Thursday night with anticipation to see some of the best pros, college and prep players at the North Carolina Pro-Am.
Team McGladrey lost a tough one in the first game, 69-68 in overtime, but NC State senior power forward Tracy Smith and freshman forward C.J. Leslie entertained the Wolfpack fans that showed up. Smith scored 21 points, while Leslie had 20. Leslie's video highlights are in the upper right video module.
The duo were also joined by NCSU senior commit Joseph Uchebo of Raleigh Word of God, and potential recruiting target Rodney Purvis, a talented sophomore guard at Raleigh Upper Room Christian Academy.
The quartet couldn't overcome the quality play of former Norfolk State standout guard Michael Deloach and ex-Charlotte wing James Zimmerman, who helped led Hendrick of Durham to the upset victory.
Smith wore No. 11, Leslie No. 7, Uchebo No. 5 and Purvis No. 3 for Team McGladrey. Click below to watch the players in action:
